I’m getting inspired. I guess I keep saying that all the time, but it’s true. I was just over at Leya’s blog, and I got inspired. I knew she had been really busy, but look at how great those bags look. Just by knowing that someone is creating bunch of awesome stuff makes me want to drop everything and start working on new jewelry. That’s all I need to spark my creativeness. Now I really have to get to work on kanokano pieces. Thank you Leya, for the inspiration, and good luck with Art Star!

These images are other inspirations for me. One is of a very creative installation of our art leader. It’s so nice at nigt time. And my friends visiting me from Japan were definitely big inspiration on so many levels. I can’t wait to have them back…

It was a beautiful day today, and it was very nice day to fly.
My friend Kumiko left early this morning, and I realized (again) that it sucks to see someone off at the airport. I tried my best to hold back from crying, but I guess there’s no easy way to say bye to my dear people. One good thing about this see-off was the nicest clerk ever at the desk of Con…… Airline as Kumiko was checking in. I mean, she was the best. She came around the desk to help her check in, and while she was at it, she helped her to see if the seat for her on flight back to Narita from Newark would be good for her or not. Who else had done that for anyone before? And she even gave Jon and me tickets to see her off right at the gate. She was the best. I wish we had asked her name. I’m so happy that her over-24-hour-journey started so nicely. I hope she will get home safely very soon…

Since Jon and I hadn’t had time alone for a while, we went out to the park and threw frisbee for a while. A couple of kids asked to join us after a minute, so we got to share the fun. Jon’s such a good teacher and he was showing them how to do it well.

It was such a beautiful day and we spent it very happily. That was a great day off.

My friend Kumiko has been in town for a week, and it has been great! Pretty much everything is new to her, and she has been enjoying the stay so far. She taught me how to crochet, and I learned 7 different kinds of stitches so far! I love it too much that I can’t stop flipping through the pages of our crocheting manual book for more action. I haven’t made any item yet, but I’m looking for a few rolls of soft yarn to make scarves and other simple things to build up my skills.
Kumiko tried riding-mower for the first time in her life, and she looked cute on that thing. That thing belongs our neighbor, and thanks to them she got to try that out.

Last Friday was Laura’s birthday, and we got to go out for breakfast. It was a beautiful day and she looked really pretty in that dress. It was a fairly big crowd and I got to see other sweet friends.

I found this crazy cheap phone card, and all I need now is a $5 bill, and I can make phone calls to Japan and talk for 5 hours! Geez! Why was I paying $200+ to talk to them only for an hour? Oh well, I guess now I have found it, right? It’s all thanks to Kumiko, who wanted to call her home to tell the family that she got here ok, and since we don’t have any long distance carrier, we decided to go and get a phone card… Thanks Kumi!

Have a beautiful Tuesday!

It’s our anniversary… happy anniversary, Jonny, and many many more! You have been doing great dealing with me this long. I promise we’ll do something fun on our 5th!

I was off from work yesterday and spent pretty much the whole day making this big tote bag. I was inspired by recent web surfing, and I had to bust out my sewing machine into full sewing mode. The bag has a key holder that Anna from twelve22 inspired me. I think it’s a wonderful idea to have this. She’s so smart. No more digging for keys deep in a bag filled with junk thanks to her!

And this awesome painting is a birthday gift from Laura. I just so love it! Thank you so much, Laura! Sorry everyone for the bad photo… I just had to do this so I can post it here. Nouko, my friend who was visiting me when I received it loved it, too! Laura’s talent is universal. I can’t wait for her show in June, and she said she’s been trying new things out. I can’t wait to see them.

I’ll post more crafty items that I’ve been working on… they are kinda secret for now. Let’s just say that they are hand sewn.

Ahhhh. Very fun b-day eve.

My birthday weekend was great.
Last Friday, Laura took me out for birthday hangout, and we had a cup of tea and iced coffee and chilled for a while. Then Jonny joined us for dinner and went to this Mexican restaurant. What happened there was just funny and awesome. Those two made me laugh and made my pre-birthday great! You can just tell how much fun I had there… Thank you guys!

And then my friend Nouko came to visit on my birthday! She stayed for 5 days, and it was just an awesome time for us to hang out and take nice walks around my neighborhood. It felt like we were back in our high school days…

I hope your weekend is great!
