It was an unexpected hiatus…  Waiting for calls from a temp agency  can put a lot of things on hold.  I had a few interviews during that time, and I’m still on stand by.  Oh well.

But I have been learning new techniques as far as jewelry goes.  I have been working with wires in different sizes, and I have done a few trials on 3 different designs.  They will be revealed very soon, like as soon as I photograph them.  Until then I will post a couple of big mushrooms that Jon spotted in our yard.

I’ll post some of new Kano pieces soon…

It was such a beautiful day here in Winston. It seems like it’s going to stay this way for at least a few more days, and I’m planning to get my gardening going! (Late start, I know, but it’s better now than never, right?)

We had such a productive day taking care of lots of things around the house; I worked inside of the house while Jon worked on yard. And finally I neatened up my studio to the point where I gotta take pictures. I know, it’s not even close to someone else’s “neat” , but that’s alright because I’m happy.

Hope your weekend is wonderful one!

Yaaaay!

My website is now up and running! Please check it out – kanokano.net !

It has been just a wonderful experience since the day one with Stevie from Trudesign . She has been so professional, creative, friendly and patient even though I gave her lots of not-so-possible requests over and over again. I recommend her all around awesomeness to anyone and everyone! Thank you sooooooo much, Stevie!

Now through August 16, we ship everything for FREE, so use the code “welcome” when you check out!

Look forward to having you over there!

So I post some nice images.

These magnolia blossoms keep our yard smell so sweet.

Hello there.

Another week has started, and I’m ready for so many things to happen. There have been some things in progress, and I have been waiting for them to manifest. Everything relies on something else for it to happen and it seems like I have been trapped in this pattern for a quite while. But I have been hanging in there, scratching a few things off my to-do-list everyday. I have to be able to handle down time productively and gracefully, right? So that’s what I’m doing (well, trying anyway).

I went to an art opening of my friend Laura’s last night. Jonny’s mom and dad went with me, and that was very nice. Since we got there too early we walked across the street to look around this building in front of train track, and we found these:

Kinda crazy looking, and they remind me of grapes. The way each piece was twisted was very cute, and I had to take photos of them.

The show was very nice, and the installation they did was so sweet and warm that I wanted to take pictures. But I chickened out about that and decided to just keep it in my memory.

These pieces are for my friend. I hope she has opened the package by now, but just in case she hasn’t, I won’t write her name here. Hope she enjoys them.

Have a great week, folks!

Today is 777.

I think it’s crazy in a great way, and I am excited.  It might be kinda cliche, but hey.  It’s going to be a WHILE till next 777 comes around, so I will spend today enjoying the 777-ness (whatever that is) to the fullest, and be creative and productive.

Have yourself a fabulous 777!

I love the new designs for my ear wires, and I really enjoy making them. The shape of the wires of the ones on top is my favorite. I have the feeling that those will be made a lot this season…
