A few pieces from my new batch…

Next batch will have some antiqued pieces!
It’s already the last week of September! Time is flying like crazy.
I’m already feeling like I had late start for the season as far as jewelry making goes. The holiday shopping season is right around the corner for us, and the more I think about it the more my brain gets freaked out. So there, I should calm down and make the list. Yes, the list. The kind which has the things to do with time-lines and prices and all that detailed stuff.
I will keep my eyes peeled for any last minute spot available at local events to sell my jewels, but I’m seriously thinking about having an open studio event this fall. I think it’s interesting to see where it all happens when you are purchasing any form of art. I’m thinking that it will be the last weekend of October or the first weekend of November. I’m sending out invitations to the folks I have on my book, but if you are interested in receiving one, please drop me a line at kanokanojewelry(at)yahoo(dot)com.
There’s no image ready today, so check out Firework photos of a cool Japanese photographer.
Have a nice one!
The weekend weather was great here in Winston. The rain turned the air much cooler and clear, and I got to sit outside and read my favorite book…
Here are some images from my Saturday morning:

And finally the green amethyst bead in my new necklace:

I think I’m in love.
Ahhh. Sweet Friday.
Finally we are getting some rain, and it’s pouring outside right now. I can almost hear all the plants out there being happy. We needed it badly, and here it is.
I have not even touched any materials to make jewelry the whole week, so it might turn into a nice & relaxing jewelry making weekend, which I am very looking forward to. I have a small batch of new beads that I can dive into, and there is one special bead that I am in love with. All I can say is Green Amethyst. I can feel something really sweet happening to the bead, and it will be mine. I tend to feel guilty when I make something for myself, but I have decided that this one is going to be a treat for myself.
Sorry, there’s no image ready to share today, but here’s a link to my favorite artist’s works. Kim Squaglia
Have yourself a great weekend!
Hi there!
Thank you for stopping by.
I didn’t mean to leave my blog alone this long, but things have been a bit busier past 2 weeks. I have been on my very first temp gig in the US for 2 weeks, and had a little Kano demonstration at Urban Artware last Friday. New connections have been made and new designs have been forming in my head. Over all I have been very busy and happy in many ways.
Thanks to our loss of internet connection for over 2 weeks (and we are in the process of switching the isp) I have not been able to do much of update in my shop , but there are some new works to be added. For now I don’t have any images to post, but they should be up as soon as we have the internet connection up & running.
Have a nice one!
