Jon and I have been taking a Beekeeping class, and it has been really fascinating and very fun. There are so many things to learn, naturally,  but the more I learn about those honey bees, the more fascinated I become of them! Now that the air is warm and lots of blossoms and flowers in bloom, bees are hard at work collecting nectar and pollen. The sweetly fragrant tree (have no idea what it is) in our yard is attracting ALL the bees around the house and it seems like that’s the “it” tree for the bees.

Here it is…

Hope you are having a nice weekend!

Seems like the spring has come to Winston Salem. Lots of blossoms are in bloom, birds are singing happily, and the air feels much softer and smells so nice… like spring. I know that as soon as I say those things out loud it gets cold again, but I hope that won’t happen.

Oh! There’s a great news (for me)! I will be at Ozone Craft Market in Shinjuku, Tokyo, from Apr 28 to May 2 selling my jewelry in Japan for the first time! It is so crazy that I was accepted, but now I’m so excited and just whipping up jewels. If you are in Tokyo area, Japan , around that time, please do stop by!

Back to bench I go…

It is such a beautiful Sunday here in Winston.

There is a camellia shrub on the side of our front door, and I have been adoring the little buds for a few months.  They are in bloom now and I just had to post a photo…

So I have been in this crazy jewelry making phase.  I had hard time sitting at my bench and focusing on getting back to the routine first few nights, but I had a breakthrough and I’m in a serious jewelry-making mode.  There are lots of new pieces to be photographed this afternoon and soon to be shared here, I promise.

Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday!
